This is a really special post for me. I really can’t put into words how special it was for me to be there for my nephew’s birth. What makes it even more special is that this is my sister’s first baby! Little Easton was born June 16th, 2011 at 1:22am… he weighed in at 6 lbs 3 oz and was 19 inches long. He is the most precious little gift! 🙂
It all began Tuesday night when my sister started having irregular contractions. They continued through the night Tuesday and all day Wednesday.  Then, at 8:30 pm on Wednesday her water broke! YAY!  I instantly began jumping up and down screaming… We’re having a baby tonight!!! 🙂  haha!  I was so excited that I was going to be there to photograph this miracle called birth… not just any birth though, my nephew and my sister’s first child!  So special!  So Bekah called Brent (her husband who works 3rd shift) that he would need to meet us up at the hospital. We then loaded up the car with and headed into town.
By the time they finally checked her she was already 6 cm dilated… things were moving fast!  I stepped out of the room for about 30 min to make some phone calls to family and when I returned she was already 8 cm dilated.  It was crazy!  She finally got an epidural and that begin to slow things down a little bit. After some patossion and 1.5-2 hours of pushing he was finally here! 🙂
I love this picture of my sister below. It says so much… the happiness and joy that he is finally here, finally in her arms! 🙂  I just love it!
Below: Daddy finally getting to hold his baby boy! So proud! 🙂  The Aunts finally getting to hold him too!
The next day I went up to the hospital for the afternoon. Â I was able to capture these sweet moments while I was there. I love the picture that I got of all of them sleeping in the hospital!
Bekah & Brent, thank you SO much for letting me be there to capture the birth of your first born.  It was an experience I will never forget! 🙂  I love you both so very much! Can’t wait to see you guys in just a few more weeks!
